The Womb is an enemy that appears in Serious Sam: Tormental.
Overview[]
The Womb is a small purple cube-shaped creature with one eye and an angry looking expression.
Appearances[]
Unlike most other enemies, which appear normally in every part of the dungeon, Wombs only appear in "Nightmare Caves" if the player destroys an altar representing Mental.
Behavior and skills[]
Unlike other enemies, the Womb doesn't directly attack the player. However, if the player gets too close to the Womb, it will grow itself, and if it fully grows, it explodes into a group of random smaller enemies, such as Jormungandrs.
Tactics[]
- When the player sees a Womb, they should use the Gun against them, as getting close to them if they want to use the Sledgehammer triggers their growing attack.
- The enemies the Womb spawns after killing itself are a lot weaker than the Womb itself, so the player can intentionally get close to it to make it explode, then kill the weaker enemies it spawns.
Behind the scenes[]
- The Womb had a slightly different appearance in the Alpha version. Its eyebrow was less angry-looking and it had small wings, which allowed it to fly.
