"Under the Colosseum" is the seventeenth level of Serious Sam: Next Encounter.

Plot

Now in the sewers underneath the Colosseum, Sam must now find a way into the monument itself. NETRICSA tells him that there is a break in the wall between the tunnels, cells and holding pens beneath the Colosseum, so he must make his way there, and find a way through the cells and up to the Colosseum.

Wow what an incredible smell you've discovered Sam!

You are in the sewers and catacombs that wind beneath the streets throughout Rome, as you might have guessed. My scans have detected a structural break in the wall between these tunnels and the cells and holding pens that exist beneath the Colosseum. Make your way there and find a way through the cells and up to the Colosseum itself.

Secrets

1. As soon as you fall into the pool of water, there will be a square passage behind you. As soon as you swim through it, you will find a room with armor and a small arsenal.
2. In the elevator room, smash the semi-oval stone wall that blocks your way to the arsenal and Treasure Chest containing 5000 points.

Treasure

• The first pipe has a Treasure Bag (1000 points).
• During the steep descent, there will be 11 Treasure Bags in the middle (1000 points each). You can't come back here.

Trivia

• The catacombs underneath the Colosseum are the same ones that would be visited by Sam and Rodriguez some 2000 years later in order to find Carter and Father Mikhail.
