The Ugh-Zan Candidate is an enemy that appears exclusively in the Bright Island campaign of Serious Sam Classics: Revolution.
Overview[]
Trained by a fanatic cult of Ugh-Zan worshippers, the Ugh-Zan Candidates are mass-produced clones of Ugh-Zan III, in different stages of growth. After the death of Ugh-Zan III, the candidates were created and are in constant gruelling battle training to grow to the same size and strength as the original Ugh-Zan III. Candidates come in three variants: small, medium and large.
Ugh-Zan Candidates are first encountered in Forlorn Ruins and then appear as uncommon enemies afterwards.
Behavior and skills[]
As the Candidates are in growing stage, they are a lot weaker than the original Ugh-Zan III and cannot carry 4 weapons at once. Additionally, their only melee attack is a rather weak punch attack which does the same amount of damage as a Kleer Skeleton's claw slap. The amount of weapons a Candidate can carry depends on its size. Small candidates can only carry 1 weapon, medium candidates carry 2, while large Candidates carry 3. The candidates also can't regenerate their health, unlike the original Ugh-Zan III. The rockets are fired in a rapid succession and are more dangerous than the rockets fired by Major Bio-mechanoids due to their faster speed.
Tactics[]
- Small candidates are weak. They can be easily killed with the XPML21 Rocket Launcher, MK III Grenade Launcher, and the XM214-A Minigun.
- The XM214-A Minigun, XL2 Lasergun, CDF-ST-005 Plasmathrower, and XPML21 Rocket Launcher are effective weapons against medium candidates.
- The SBC Cannon is the most powerful weapon against large candidates. A fully charged shot then an uncharged shot is enough to kill one.
- Medium and large Ugh-Zan Candidates should be treated as high-priority targets due to the extreme amount of damage they can deal with their weapons.
