The Tractor is a land vehicle featured in Serious Sam 4 and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
Overview[]
A large industrial vehicle, the tractor is useful for traversing distances if no other transport is available. However, being the second slowest vehicle in the game (after the combine harvester, it may not be the most suitable choice compared to faster vehicles like the motorcycle and ATV. The tractor has a defauly speed of 24 mph, and performs poorly uphill due to its weak engine and slow speed. Despite these flaws, the vehicle can gain a siginificant speed boost by pressing the Shift key. This will greatly increase the tractor's speed, but the speed boost only lasts for a short period of time before it can be used again. This is indicated on the vehicle's HUD on the bottom left corner of the screen.
Like other vehicles, the tractor has limited health and can take damage from gunfire, explosions and projectiles tossed by enemies. The player can also use some of their weapons while driving the tractor, but they can't dual-wield any. Like with other vehicles, the player cannot use any gadgets while driving it.
Appearances[]
Serious Sam 4[]
The tractor only appears in two levels, "A Breakfast in France and "One for the Road".
In "A Breakfast in France", the tractor is located far from the beaten path towards the end of the level. To get there, the player needs to run towards the Octanian Harvester Leviathan in the sky and the town seen miles in the distance. It will be located on a hill towards the right. When they get to the optional side quest not far from the exit, the tractor can be seen in the distance if aimed with the RAPTOR Sniper Rifle.
In "One for the Road", the tractor can be found in the barn that belonged to Fulbert le Fou in the optional side quest "Armed, Farmed, and Alarmed".
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem[]
The tractor appears at an abandoned farm next to an Octanian outpost in "Siberiade". This is its only appearance in the game.
Trivia[]
- In Serious Sam 4, the tractor has a French flag on its rear. This is replaced with a Russian license plate in Siberian Mayhem.
