The Torcher Kitty is an enemy exclusive to Serious Sam: Double D: XXL.
Overview[]
The Torcher Kitty is a kitten's upper torso that has been surgically fastened to the top of a bottle of green liquid. It is equipped with three thrusters; two where its lower half should be and one on the bottom of its bottle, which allows it to fly.
The Torcher Kitty is a rare enemy in the game, only appearing in Jurassic Reckoning and Carrion Caverns. They usually appear in groups.
Behavior and skils[]
The Torcher Kitty’s only attack is to spit a fireball from its mouth.
When killed, the Torcher Kitty's jetpack will begin to malfunction and explode, gibbing it and damaging anyone near the explosion.
Tactics[]
- The 12 Gauge Shotgun and Thompson submachine gun are good weapons to use against the Torcher Kitty. The Thompson's rapid-fire always causes the Torcher Kitty to flinch, making it harmless, while the shotgun's tight spread allows it to do major damage against the Kitty. Both weapons are also great against groups of them.
- When paired with other enemies, the Torcher Kitty is a low-priority threat because its projectiles are often easy to avoid. It should be one of the last enemies the player kills after they kill more dangerous ones.
Bugs/Glitches[]
- For unknown reasons, the Torcher Kitty never attacks the player again after they fire a projectile once, just following them around. This makes them completely harmless.
