Timeless Caves is the first level of the Bright Island campaign in Serious Sam Classics: Revolution.
Plot[]
After Sam defeated Kukulkán, the Wind God at the end of The Pit and entered the Time-Lock to travel from Teotihuacan to Persepolis, a disturbance occurs that causes him to instead land on an interdimensional plane of existence known as Bright Island. He must begin his journey to escape Bright Island, but first, he has to fight his way through the Timeless Caves. This won't be easy, though, as Mental has deployed his troops all over Bright Island.
Secrets[]
- When crossing the bridge at the starting area to reach the button that lowers the wooden platform on the other side of the cave, carefully slide yourself down the cliff on the far end of the bridge. There's a tiny teleport on the corner of the cliff that will warp you to an island on the very far side of the cave with wooden platforms. Collect the Large Armor armor there and use the jumper to return to the button.
- In the room where you get the 12 Gauge Pump-Action Shotgun, look up to the ceiling to find golden masks. Two of the masks are flipped upside down and are destructable. Shoot both of them and a wall will open to reveal a RAPTOR Sniper Rifle and some ammo.
- Coming into the second cavern, after defeating the waves of Beheaded Kamikazes jumping down the platforms, you'll see a lonely Extra Small Health on top of a large rock spire. Carefully and with precision jump on there. Grabbing the extra small health will spawn a spare shotgun ammo next to the Large Health.
- On the island where you get the Double Barrel Coach Gun and the button to open the gate to the final island, turn left to a bush to find a extra small health. Collect it and a Serious Speed powerup will spawn as well as a line of pills. Grab the speed and trail yourself down until you reach the gate. This is where the secret is triggered, however there is an optional second part. If you continue following the pill trail past the bridge and the final island, there's an Extra Large Health on a small cliff only reachable by using the serious speed. Run yourself off the ledge, collect it, and use the teleporter to return you to the final island.
- Note that by running off the ledge and reaching the small cliff, you will inevitably take damage. This part of the secret should be avoided on no damage runs if the player is doing one.

- The music in this level is reused from the Serious Sam: Xbox version of the second half of Sierra de Chiapas, Catacombs.

Broken spawners[]
Note: These broken spawners concern single player Serious difficulty.
- A spawner close to the player's starting position that is supposed to spawn six Beheaded Kamikazes.
- A spawner that should spawn four floating Gnaars.
- Another spawner close to the starting position identical to the first one mentioned above, except with Beheaded Rocketeers.
In total, the player can obtain up to a maximum of 373 kills in this level.
