Thermal Energy is a type of ammunition that appears in Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
Overview[]
Thermal energy is used as the ammunition for the XPMR "Burner" Raygun. It gives 50 ammo for the Burner when picked up.
Appearances[]
Thermal energy is very common after the player obtains the Burner in Roadside Picnic, allowing them to use it very often. In New Game+, thermal energy continues to be common while coexisting with Electricity, which provides ammo for the XL2 Lasergun.
Behind the scenes[]
Prior to the Christmas Update 1.06, thermal energy reused the electricity ammo's name and HUD icon. As of the Christmas Update, thermal energy now has its own unique name and HUD icon, the latter being a variation of the electricity HUD icon with a flame replacing the lightning bolt.
Trivia[]
- Thermal energy looks similiar to electricity in appearance, but it has a fiery orange glow in its center instead of being grey with a green electrical glow.
