"The Senator's Vineyards" is the third level of Serious Sam: Next Encounter.

Plot

Upon exiting the villa, Sam ends up in the the land bordering the rear of the villa; Senator Cicero's vineyards. In order to get into Rome, Sam must make his way through here. According to NETRICSA, there is an obstructed cave entrance in the far hill. Some TNT has been dropped off via the Time-Lock, and NETRICSA believes that the detonator should be nearby. Once Sam is out of the cave, he should look for a manmade tunnel entrance and head there.

• Description

We're out in the open now. The land bordering the rear of the villa is where the senator has his vineyards, producing a surprisingly fruity Falernian vintage. No time to stop and taste now, head through and on towards Rome.

A preliminary scan has revealed an obstructed cave entrance in the far hill, so we've dropped off some serious TNT via timelock. The detonator should be nearby at a safe distance. Once out of the cave you should look for a manmade tunnel entrance. That is your target.

Secrets

1. When starting the level, jump into either vat of the fermenting grape juice, then walk toward the Extra Small Health hovering near the center. Magically, you'll be transported into Cicero's wine cellar. There are a 3 Treasure Chests (1000 points each), health, and armor items, and a few shotgun shells. To exit, simply walk upstairs toward the door.
2. After coming out of the cave where you had to endure an assault from enemies, you'll find yourself behind a waterfall. Jump to the right side and keep walking until you see a barrel. Destroy it and you'll arrive on a platform that would otherwise be unreachable. Below there are a few health pills and a Treasure Chest containing 5000 points.

Treasure

1. Prohibition Bonus: When you are in the first secret area, destroy all of the barrels. After all of them are destroyed, eight Treasure Bags will spawn (500 points each).
2. You can find 3 Treasure Bags in vineyards. One bag is located right behind the tower (500 points each).
3. A Treasure Chest is located under a waterfall (500 points).
