"The Forum Romanum" is the seventh level of Serious Sam: Next Encounter.

Plot

Having finally arriving at Rome, Sam must now proceed to the Temple of Neptune. This structure should serve as his point of entry into the deeper parts of the city where he can hopefully find out the source of the time disturbance.

Welcome to Rome, Sam. Now we are here, we must make haste and head to the Temple of Neptune. It is our point of entry to the inner parts of the city where we hope to discover the source of the time disturbance.

Rome seems oddly quiet today, but I don't think it will stay that way for long. The minions can smell your blood a mile off so watch out for ambushes.

Records show the priests called the shots around here, which is why the means to open the gates to the courtyard beyond can be found inside the two temples. Destroy any resistance and gain entry to the temples. Destroy any resistance and gain entry to the temples. Once the rear gates are open you should be able to move through the courtyard beyond, to the Temple of Neptune.

Secrets

1. On the left, where you can take 2 Treasure Bags, destroy the middle door and take 3 Treasure Bags of gold (1000 points each).
2. On the right, destroy the far passage and take the armor.
3. Destroy all the statues in front of the last door and get Treasure Chests of gold (5000 points each).
