"The Cradle of Democracy" is the fifth level of Serious Sam's Bogus Detour.
Plot[]
After stealing a multi-mission aircraft from Troy, Sam arrives in Greece, and not far from his destination, Mount Olympus. As he couldn't land on top of the mountain due to the thick clouds obscuring his view, he is forced to land somewhere else. Luckily for Sam, there is a road not far which leads up to the slopes of the mountain. However, getting there is no easy task, as there is a heavily-guarded Mental-Altani airbase nearby. In order to get to the road, Sam has to take out the enemy resistance first.
Secrets[]
- Upon entering the airbase, head straight downwards until you reach the wall. If you look closely, there is a broken piece of wall here hidden between two trees. Shoot it, then head left through the trees until you come across a star. Collect it to register the secret.
Trivia[]
- There is an arena in this level that is full of enemies, Interstellar Tele-Destinations and power-ups, with a star located on a pillar in the middle. It's a good way for the player to earn quick XP if they're experienced enough to deal with the large hordes of enemies.
