"Temple of Mars" is the eleventh level of Serious Sam: Next Encounter.
Plot[]
Sam is now in the Temple of Mars, a structure dedicated to the Roman God of War. In order to continue with his mission, he must find two artifacts, the Sword of Hero and the Shield of Hadrian, to open the temple's rear door.

This building is a temple erected in honor of the Roman God of War. It served purely ceremonial purposes. However the arrival of Mental Forces has seen the temple's function warped to more practical ends. It now plays host to a celebration of the God of War's love of carnage. We are using the timelock to deploy heavy weaponry to aid you.
My research has brought up further evidence of the Roman's love of secret exits: documents show the rear door to the temple can only be opened once two artifacts have been placed upon the God of War's statue. These artifacts are purported to be The Sword of Nero and The Shield of Hadrian. Search the temple for them.Secrets[]
- When you leave the hall with the sword, turn left and walk straight until you hit the wall. Next, turn right and shoot at a section of the wall that stands out in color against the general background. Here you will "break through" a secret passage and find yourself in a secret room with 5 Treasure Bags (1000 points each), health pills and a small armor. By the way, you'll be passing through a secret window that will tell you what the secret is.
- Turn around and you will see an area without a floor, where you can see the flowing lava. There's a Large Health hanging over the lava – don't be afraid to pick it up, there's an invisible floor here.
- In the same room, there is a Large Armor.
