The Swamp Hive is an enemy that appears in Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope and Serious Sam 4. It is the fourth boss of Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope.

Overview

The Swamp Hive is a very large pink and green spider-like creature with pointy legs. Its mouth is bloody and contains a few organs.

Attacks

The Swamp Hive has two attacks, hitting the player with its legs and spawning small flying creatures called Beetles. The fight with it consists of two phases, and in each phase, it will move away and enemies will attack the player. After the final phase is finished, the Swamp Hive attacks the player until it or the player is killed. When the Swamp Hive has been killed, it will fall into the water.

Tactics

Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope

• The Swamp Hive has a large amount of health. As such, strong weapons such as the AS-24 Devastator and XPML21 Rocket Launcher are recommended to use against it.
• If the player can’t use the aforementioned weapons, the XM214-A Minigun and XL2 Lasergun can also be used against it.
• The rocket launcher and minigun are a great combination to use against the Swamp Hive as well.
• The Swamp Hive’s melee attack can be avoided by using the shield.
