The Snowman is an enemy that appears exclusively as a secret in Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
Overview[]
The Snowman appears as a living snowman wearing a top hat (along with shades and a scarf in Siberian Mayhem). It is armed with an XPML30 Rocket Launcher (Serious Sam 2) or XPML21 Rocket Launcher (Siberian Mayhem).
Appearances[]
The Snowman only appears as a secret in both Serious Sam 2 and Siberian Mayhem.
Serious Sam 2[]
The Snowman appears in the level Freezepad. There is a normal Snowman that is near the second heating room. If the player destroys the Snowman and collects the Small Health item that is inside it, the enemy Snowman will spawn near the destroyed normal Snowman and will start attacking the player. When the Snowman is killed, it will drop a Serious Bomb.
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem[]
The secret Snowman in the level Siberiade.
The Snowman can be found in Siberiade near the abandoned church just by the village (where Scythian Witch-Harpies can be seen perched on, not the church where the player is introduced to One-Eyed Olga). It will remain inactive until the player attacks it. Once provoked, it will get out its rocket launchers and begin firing rockets at the player. After it has been destroyed, it will drop an Extra Large Armor.
The Snowman is also mentioned in a note that can be found in the same level.
In the level Crime And Punishment, in the final Christmas area, several Snowmen will assist the player and defend them from Mental's Horde during the battle. They are not hostile to the player in the Christmas area.
Behavior and skills[]
Upon spotting the target or being attacked, the snowman will get out its rocket launchers and begin attacking the player by firing rockets at them. These rockets can deal a ton of damage if the player gets hit by one.
Tactics[]
- The Snowman's rockets can be avoided by sidestepping.
- Strong weapons like the rocket launcher or XM214-A Minigun are effective against the Snowman, as these weapons can quickly destroy it due to its high damage output.
Trivia[]
- The Snowman is very similar to the "snowman avenger" in the level Land of the Damned in Serious Sam: The Second Encounter. Like this Snowman, the snowman avenger also appears as a secret and fires rockets at the player.
