Small Armor (Ancient Helmet in Serious Sam: Double D) is an item that gives the player a small amount of armor points when picked up.
Overview[]
Small armor is a relatively weak item that gives the player 5-10 armor points when picked up, depending on the game that is being played on. In all of the games it appears in, it will not go past the default maximum armor limit (100 in all other games, 200 in Serious Sam 2). It seems to give the player some armor points so that they can get to the 100 armor point limit without picking up a stronger set of armor. This can be useful if the player has a large amount of armor points and doesn't want to use up a larger set of armor in order to get to the 100 armor points cap.
Appearances[]
Small armor is much rarer compared to other armor items in the series. In Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, for example, it only appears on some levels, such as The Elephant Atrium. In the Legend of the Beast expansion pack, it is the most commonly occurring item pickup. In other games, small armor occurs more frequently.

- Like Medium Armor, small armor is never booby trapped.
- Small armor's design varies between games:
- In Serious Sam 1, Serious Sam HD and Serious Sam: Double D, it is an orange medieval-style helmet.
- In Serious Sam 2, it is a shield with a yellow and blue checkered pattern.
- In Serious Sam 3: BFE, Serious Sam 4 and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, it is a modern-style military helmet with goggles.
- In Serious Sam's Bogus Detour, it uses Serious Sam 1's Extra Small Armor texture.
