Seriously Warped Deathmatch is an official mod for Serious Sam: The Second Encounter.
Overview[]
Seriously Warped Deathmatch is, as its name implies, a mod focused on multiplayer. It features new multiplayer maps (such as Eclipse) and new game modes, such as Capture the Flag and Team Deathmatch. The mod also includes two new weapons, the MKII-B Minelayer and CDF-ST-005 Plasmathrower. These two weapons were eventually added to Serious Sam Classics: Revolution, alongside the cut XL4-P 'Ghostbuster' Beam Gun.
The first iteration of the mod started development during 2000, prior to the release of The First Encounter, as the team was given the engine early on, since Croteam didn't have the time to finish off multiplayer portion of the game focusing on competitive play.
Seriously Warped Deathmatch is bundled with the retail version of The First Encounter (except the versions after the 1.02 patch), and The Second Encounter.
