Santa Sam is a playable multiplayer character in the Serious Sam series.

Biography[]

Apparantly, many people believed that Santa Sam actually was Santa until a kid pulled his beard off one day. After that, he disappeared from the public's view.

A few years later, Serious Sam found him selling ice cream on a beach while still wearing his Santa outfit. Sam gave him an offer to join him and take out Mental. Santa Sam accepted, and now he delivers very lethal gifts to Mental's forces.

Serious Sam: The Second Encounter[]

Santa Sam appears exclusively as a secret in the Land of the Damned. Shooting or damaging him with explosives will occasionally make him drop armor, health, or a power-up. If the player kills him, he makes the same sound that Sam makes when he dies. He can also be gibbed if the player kills him with the SBC Cannon or if they have Serious Damage active.

He can be chosen as a player model in all of his appearances in the multiplayer settings.

Appearance[]

Appearance-wise, Santa Sam looks like Serious Sam in a Santa suit with a fake beard, but is actually a different person.

In Serious Sam 1, Serious Sam HD and Serious Sam 4, Santa Sam is just Serious Sam in a Santa suit and wearing a fake beard. However, in Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter and Serious Sam 3: BFE, he received a new model that makes him look more like Santa and less like Serious Sam.

Trivia[]

Santa Sam and Santa Sammy were included in Serious Sam 3: BFE in a patch released before Christmas 2011. Santa Sam was also added to Serious Sam 4 in the 1.07 update.^[1]
