Pyramid Entrance Maze is the fifth level of Serious Sam Advance.
Plot[]
Finally inside the pyramid of Pharaoh Ramses, Sam found it to be a labyrinthian nightmare brimming with Mental's servants. Ramses' tomb was hidden somewhere in here and it was Sam's mission to find it.
Strategic data[]
This stage will certainly test your 'skirt and strafe' technique as it's essentially a handful of large arenas linked by labyrinths.
Make every shot count because you'll be meeting a large number of hostiles in this level, sometimes all at once.
With this in mind, be sure to pick up the Minigun at the start of the level for some truly automated butchery.
Complete this task in less than 6 minutes and you'll be doing well.
Secrets[]
- If you follow the right path from the arena, you will open a passage behind the wall, where the Aludran Arachnoid and Medium Armor are hidden.
Trivia[]
- The icon representing this level on the map screen is taken from Metropolis in Serious Sam: The First Encounter's map.
- The passwords for this level are "BADDUN" (Tourist), "BETTERER" (Bring It On!) and "CHIPPER" (Serious!!!).
- While NETRICSA calls this level "Pyramid Entrance Maze", the map screen shortens it to simply "Pyramid Entrance".
- At the start, you will immediately find cartridges for the XM214-A Minigun, but you will not be able to take them if you do not have it, and you will not be able to return here. Most likely, there is a secret minigun somewhere on the previous mission or perhaps it is mistake by the developers. It will appear in your hands if you activate cheats at this level.
