"Do you know what I've been eating? Cold hot dogs and warm soda from the snack machine. My body feels like a sponge!"
―The Princess to Sam[src]

The 'Princess' (real name unknown) is a woman who resides in the French fortified village of Carcassonne. She is introduced as a minor supporting character in Serious Sam 4.

Biography[]

Not very much is known about her life. In her adulthood, she became a tour guide and would show tourists around the castle in Carcassonne.[1] She had to dress up in a princess outfit while at work, which she despised wearing.

Princess needs help

The Princess needs help rescuing from the tower.

The Princess can be heard shouting for help while Sam navigates through the Citรฉ de Carcassonne. She tells him that she is trapped in a tower in the castle and could use his help getting her out.[2] Sam is sort of annoyed having to rescue her, but he decides to go along with it anyway. He goes through multiple floors, fighting many of Mental's minions in the process, and eventually reaches the top of the tower. He opens the door for the Princess and he announces "her knight in shining armor" has arrived to rescue her.

Upon seeing her, she begins cursing and shouting that she had been locked in the room for weeks, with nothing but cold hot dogs and sodas from the vending machine to keep her going. She mentioned that her body "feels like a sponge", and said she would resort to even eating the table if she had been stuck in there for another day just to "get some fiber in her diet".[1]

The Princess attempts flirting with Sam, but he isn't really interested, seeing as that his mission at the castle is to find the Holy Grail and the Ark of the Covenant in order to save the world. Having mentioned a "master key", Sam asks if it opens every room in the castle, but the Princess says it only works for the storage facilities. Disappointed she didn't get to spend time with Sam, she lends him the key, but Sam offers her some hope for her love life; he says he knows "this guy" and he can give her his number, which she is delighted to know.[1]

Personality and skills[]

At first having a calm demeanor and feeling a large amount of releif for being 'rescued' by Sam, she suddenly shows a more serious side and begins venting out her frustation, cursing out loud for being stuck in a tower for several weeks in a row with nothing to eat but food from the room's vending machine.[3]

Sam attempted to calm her down by apologizing with regards to her situation, but she continued droning on about having to be dressed in a medieval princess outfit. She mentioned that the dress she's wearing was not even historically accurate, as she claimed to have a "PHD in medieval studies". She stated that she didn't even want to be a tour guide, which suggested that she didn't enjoy working at the castle.

Relationships[]

Sam Stone[]

The Princess felt a great sense of relief after Sam rescued her. Upon venting out her frustration for being stuck in a room for weeks, she felt like she needed a bottle of wine and a "strong man" to share it with, stating that she has needs as well. Sam was flattered, but of course not really interested, seeing as that he didn't have the time and was trying to save the world by finding the Holy Grail.

Appearance[]

She is a Caucasian woman in her late twenties or early to late thirties with a heavy French accent. She is overweight and wears a medieval-style red dress with a yellow pattern and a bow. She has long, curly red hair tied up in a bun. She has brown eyes.
