"One for the Road" is the tenth level of Serious Sam 4.
Plot[]
Sam manages to establish radio contact with Kenny, but must continue to venture further through the countryside to get to Carcassonne and meet up with him, the French Resistance, and the rest of the team.
Side objectives[]
"Armed, Farmed, and Alarmed"[]
Before the player reaches the quarry, they will come across some large containers and a small white shack to the right. There is a note that can be found inside the shack, which mentions a strange hermit who lives on a farm in a swamp, but hasn't been heard from recently. Follow the road past the shack and get to the farm. When the player reaches the barn, a cutscene will play and the player will be able to obtain the FRPCL along with its ammunition.
"La Route de L'enfer"[]
Once on the ATV, keep driving towards the main objective and the player will get a distress call. If they don't get it, they can simply drive towards the large smoke trail in the distance. The player needs to continue to the smoke trail and they will come across the remains of a convoy that was attacked by Octanian Raiders. Once the player arrives, they will see a crate next to one of the Humvees, which contains a H.E.A.R.T. gadget. Be prepared for a big fight after completing this side quest.

Secrets[]
- From the beginning of the level, climb on the concrete blocks and jump on the canopy. Jump on the pipe to reach the roof of the building, then jump to the blue container and reach the next container. On the container is a Black Hole gadget.
- When you get to the quarry, go down one level and search the area around the excavator to find a Hacked Drone.
- From the previous secret, go down one more level and you'll notice a hole. Inside the hole is a Companion Orb. Shoot it to register the secret.
- Still from the previous secret, go down to the very bottom of the quarry, approach the exit and jump on the wall. Walk on the wall until you reach the hidden item. There is a Holodecoy rested on the side of a portable building. Alternatively, you can park the ATV next to the gates, jump on top of the ATV and onto the second portable and collect the gadget there. Use the pile of materials next to the portables to jump back over.
- Again from the previous secret, go up the path of the quarry, climb the rocks on the right and jump to reach the Rage Serum.
- In the quarry, look up at the top of the cliff, and you'll see a [wooden plank with a purple flashing object (Time Warp) positioned on top of it. Destroy the plank and the item will drop to the ground. Pick it up to register the secret.
- When you find Kenny, go through the city and go to the left behind the concrete walls. Then enter the stadium on the right to see a 'Football Glory' game with clones of Sam and Mental Mate playing football.
- Where the stadium is, go left and under the stands to find a Psychotropic Grenade.
- Follow the main objective, go up the street until you come across some sandbags. Go past the sandbags to find the gadget.
- Shortly after the previous secret, pass behind the low wall on the left to find 3 C-4 Demolition Charges.
- Once in the park, climb on the wrecked car to reach the kiosk roof to find a L.I.F.E gadget.
- From the previous secret, walk towards the Octanian Harvester Leviathan and use the sandbags on the right to go behind the wall to find a L.I.F.E. gadget.
- From the previous secret, cross the park and search behind the generator to find another L.I.F.E. gadget.

Trivia[]
- The Football Glory secret is a reference to the football video game developed by Croteam that was released in 1994, 7 years before the release of the Serious Sam series.
- Scoring a goal with the football in the Football Glory secret will have a spectating Sam or Mental Mate throw some health, armor or ammo to the player. This will only occur a few times after scoring a goal.
- The name of the side quest "La Route de L'enfer" is French for "The Road to Hell".
- The name of this level may be a reference to the song by Arctic Monkeys.
- It is also an idiom to have a final alcoholic drink before leaving.
