The Octanian Harvester Leviathan, colloquially referred to as the "Mothership", is a living spacecraft that was used by the Cult of the Eightfold Manifestation during the Tunguska Offensive. It is first introduced in Serious Sam 4 and makes another appearance in its standalone expansion pack, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
Overview[]
The Octanian Harvester Leviathan is a massive alien creature that resembles a cuttlefish. In terms of size, it is approximately 268 meters tall and 865 meters long, making it one of the largest creatures seen in the Serious Sam series. It has small blue eyes, two long arms on either side and multiple tentacles hanging from its underside. Its body has been fitted with machinery and artificial parts to suit the Octanians' needs.
The Mothership essentially serves as a living, flying aicraft carrier for the Octanians, and was used for many purposes, such as reconnaissance and for storing Octanian Raiders.[1][2]
Unlike other enemies that appear in the game, the Mothership does not attack the player (other than firing rockets at them in the final level), nor cannot it be harmed by any of the player's weapons.

Serious Sam 4[]

The first Mothership seen in the game is seen clearly visible in the sky on the first level of the game, Death from Above. Kenny comments on the Mothership, saying that it's much larger than he anticipated. A second one appears in Carcassonne and can be seen from a distance when Sam makes his way to the town through the French countryside. In the final level, From Earth With Love, several Motherships can be seen in the background providing support for the Octanian soldiers during the fight against the EDF soldiers as they try to neutralize the enemy portal.
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem[]
Only one Mothership appears in the game. It appears in Crime And Punishment, and remains idling in the sky until the player reaches the town with Ledov's Squad. The Mothership begins deploying dozens of Octanian Raiders and begins its approach on the town.[3]
Appliication[]
The Harvester Mothership was employed in large numbers during the Tunguska Offensive, and many of them appeared through the large portal that appeared in Tunguska,[4] as well as two smaller portals that appeared in Italy and France.[1][2] During the war, they were flown over towns and cities with a large human population, where large squadrons of Octanian raiders were scrambled from the Leviathan to take control of the skies and ensure superiority over the airspace.
For control on the ground, the Mothership deployed Octanian Commanders and squads of Octanian Gamma Troopers to patrol the streets and eliminate any opposing resistance. The Mothership also deployed Harvester Drones to capture anyone hiding in the streets and take them back to the ship so they could be converted into Processed Anthropolyps. If a target got within close proximity to a Mothership on the ground, it could release swarms of Combat Drones to eliminate them.
Behavior and skills[]
The Mothership can be seen slowly flying or idiling around in the sky whenever they appear. During the final level in Serious Sam 4, it will fire many rockets at the player. Unlike other enemies in the game, the Mothership is immune to damage from the player's weapons and cannot be killed.

- The Mothership is one of the largest enemies in the series, along with the Alcor Class Warship, Kwongo, Mental Institution, Sandwhale, and members of the Ugh-Zan dynasty.
- The Mothership is one of the few enemies in the game that does not have a NETRICSA description.
