The multi-mission aircraft is a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft used by the Mental-Altani Corporation.
Overview[]

A multi-mission aircraft deploying pods.
The Mental-Altani Corporation use these aicraft on Earth as their main mode of transport, making it a suitable choice of aircraft fit for many scenarios and combat situations.[1] Orcs mostly use these aircraft to fly over combat zones and deploy reinforcements by using laser-guided pods, which will drop onto the ground and explode.[1] These pods often contain a small group of Orc Troopers and one or two Orc Captains, depending on the difficulty. The Orcs also use these aircraft to carry large cages for transporting Infected Tortoises to butcheries.[2]
Operation[]
The aircraft is dependent on multiple parts in order for it to operate:
- Jet engines, which help propel the aircraft up into the air.
- Sidestick module, used to control it.
- The technetium battery, which powers the aircraft.
- The decryption key, which enables access to Mental-Altani's database and their navigation system, similar to a satnav system.
Appearances[]
Serious Sam's Bogus Detour[]

Sam flying a multi-mission aircraft over the Orcs' communications island.
As Sam makes his way to the city of Troy, he comes across an aircraft that is parked nearby. NETRICSA says he can steal this aircraft and use to travel to Greece.[3] Unfortunately, the aircraft is in no good condition to fly, as there are several parts which need to be found and reattached to the aircraft for it to function. NETRICSA says she needs to use one of the parts, the decryption key, for access to the Orc data-system and to gather data about their navigation system, so Sam knows where he is going.[3]
Sam proceeds into Troy and succeeds in finding all the parts scattered around the city. Once he has all four parts in his possssion, he attaches them to the plane and repairs it. Once the aircraft is up and running, Sam uses the plane to fly to depart for Greece.[3]
Tactics[]
- When the player hears the sound of the aircraft passing by, this means the drop pods are about to land on their position. Avoid these pods by quickly dashing or strafing out of the way before the drop pods hit.
