Michelle Djabali, often referred to as just Michelle, is leader of the French Resistance cell in Carcassonne. She is introduced as a supporting character in Serious Sam 4.
Biography[]
Michelle was born in Grigny, Essonne, a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. In her later years, she moved to Carcassonne after her studies to take a job as an archivist in the Musée des Beaux-Arts.[1] During the first days of the invasion of Earth, she joined a civil defense organization to help prepare for the coming war. She became leader of the Carcassonne cell of the French Resistance after her predecessor, Jean-Luc Dubois, was killed in the Second Battle of Toulouse.[1]
Notable engagements she has participated in include the Second Battle of Toulouse, the Rennes-le-Château Counterheist, and the Battle of Tourmalet Pass.

Serious Sam 4[]

Michelle is mentioned by General Brand as the contact who has agreed to meet with the Triple-A team upon landing in Carcassonne.[2] She is later seen with Sam and Sayid inside of a bar, making a inspirational speech to her comrades. She informs them their informant, Charlie, has found a way to get into the castle.
Exiting the bar, Michelle tags along with Sam, Sayid and a couple of resistance members as they fight through the town. They make their way to the location where the informant has told them to meet up, and they proceed down into the underground tunnels below. When they get down there, Sam sees an Adult Arachnoid walking towards him and aims his pistol at her, but Michelle quickly intervenes and tells him that the Arachnoid is their informant, much to Sam's surprise.[3]
Michelle prevents Sam from attempting to kill their informant.
Once they get to the castle, several Octanian Raiders appear and attack them, Charlie shoots down one of them, destroying the bridge and separating Sam from Michelle and the others. Sam insists they come with him, but Michelle refuses and tells him to go into the castle on his own while she, Sayid and Charlie hold off Mental's forces as much as they can.[3]
It is not known what happens to Michelle after, but it can be assumed that she was able to distract Mental's forces long enough for Sam to make it to the castle.

Sam Stone[]
Michelle has great admiration and respect for Sam, especially since he is considered perhaps the best soldier serving in the Earth Defense Force. She was also impressed with his fighting skills when they fought alongside one another through the streets of Carcassonne. She also didn't judge people by their character, such as when she stated that she likes Sam, despite Sayid commenting that he was "a strange man".[3]
Sayid Lécuyer[]
Serving as Michelle's right hand man, the two harbored a great amount of respect and trust for each other. He would follow her orders without hesistation and carry out whatever needed to be done to ensure the French Resistance could rid the streets of Mental's armies.[3]
Personality and skills[]
Michelle is a bright young woman full of passion and inspiration. She is a capable fighter and excels in leadership. She doesn't give up and expects her fellow resistance members to do the same. She also has an appreciation for art, and even risked her life to rescue the (fictional) painting of 'the Sinful Virgin' by Van Klogh.
Powers and abilities[]
- Leadership: Michelle has shown to be excelled in leadership, especially given her position as leader of the Carcassonne cell of the French Resistance. She also convinced her comrades to join in the fight and help Sam make his way to the castle with an inspirational speech.
- Weapon Proficiency: Michelle is proficient with firearms, especially with her signature assault rifle.

- She can be selected as a player model in the multiplayer settings in both Serious Sam 4 and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
- She has an interest in ornithology (the study of birds), with a special interest in the Eurasian blue tit.[1]
