Professor Linda Bennett was a British egyptologist, linguist and doctor of historical sciences at the London University. Professor Bennett and her role in the events of the Serious Sam universe were referred to several times in the official Serious Sam backstory and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.

Biography[]

Linda Bennett was allegedly born in the United Kingdom. She studied linguistics, specialising in the ancient Egyptian language and culture, and later worked as a doctor of historical sciences at London University. By 2058, her skills had not gone unnoticed, and she had gained a reputation, which led her to become an excavation director at the Abu Simbel burial complex in Egypt, where traces of a Sirian civilization were found.[1]

In 2060, professor Bennett led an Internation Space Mission "Prospector", sent to Saturn's moon Titan in search of a hidden Sirian spaceship, the SSS Centerprice.[2] The mission succeeded in 2063, and the work began on preparing the ship for transporting to Earth. Later the same year, professor Bennett was named Aeon magazine's "Person of the Year", which featured her photo on the cover with a tagline "The woman who brought back the Space".

Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem[]

She does not appear in-game, since her life takes place many decades prior to the Serious Sam series. She can be found on a magazine cover in the level Crime And Punishment, and two newspaper excerpts can be found that mentions her accomplishments in detail.

Personality and skills[]

Having studied linguistics and ancient Egyptian language and culture, professor Bennett was a well-respected individual in her field. She had gained a reputation of becoming a praised and respected Egyptologist.
