Large Armor is an armor pickup that appears in the Serious Sam series.

Overview[]

Medium armor is an item that, depending on the game being played. will give the player either 50 armor points or 100. Unlike Super Armor, medium armor does not go beyond 100 armor points.

Appearances[]

Large armor is usually found scattered throughout levels. It is usually placed in "breather" rooms between hordes and as a booby-trapped item. It also appears in secrets, but usually mixed in with other items, like ammo or health.

Behind the scenes[]

Large armor had a completely different model in the Alpha phase of Serious Sam 1. It used a golden roman-style helmet similarly to what the Small Armor in The Second Encounter uses. In Test 1, it used the Extra Large Armor Test 1 model, but with a brown-colored texture.

Trivia[]

The Serious Sam 1 model has the Serious Sam logo on the back of it.
Large armor's design varies between games:
- In Serious Sam 1, Serious Sam: Next Encounter and Serious Sam HD, it is a green vest.
- In Serious Sam Advance, it is an orange vest.
- In Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam's Bogus Detour, it is a helmet and suit of medieval-style armor with patterns on it.
- In Serious Sam: Double D, it is a vest with shoulder pads. There are two variants of large armor, blue and yellow.
- In Serious Sam 3: BFE, it is a suit of Kelvar armor.
- In Serious Sam 4 and Serious Sam: Sierian Mayhem, it is a green tactical vest with a helmet.
