L.I.F.E. (Lightweight Intravenous Fibroblast Energizer) is a gadget introduced in Serious Sam 4 and its expansion pack Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
Overview[]
L.I.F.E. is an intravenous, nanomedicinal device used by Earth Defense Force personnel. It appears as a small vial with a blue glowing liquid suspended in it. The device employs the latest advances in medical nanotechnology to deliver a rapid improvement to the user's health status by boosting the performance of their tissue-producing cells.[1] Due to its nature, it has to be manually injected into the veins like a syringe. Its extremely sturdy and portable design means it can be used anywhere and at any time.
When the player uses the gadget, it gives them an immediate boost of 50 health points. The gadget can allow the player's health to go past the normal 100 HP limit up to the maximum of 200 without having to rely on health pickups, which is especially helpful considering the rarity of armor pickups in Serious Sam 4.
Like other gadgets, the player can only carry up to 10 of these items at any time.

Serious Sam 4[]
L.I.F.E. is the most common gadget in the game. It appears sparingly in the early levels, being obtainable as early as the first level of the game. The gadget is sometimes hidden in certain places like in alleyways or narrow passages, and becomes more frequent in the later levels. It is also commonly found in secrets.
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem[]
L.I.F.E. is not as common compared to Serious Sam 4. It first appears in "A Smell Of Petroleum Prevails". It is occasionally found alongside large ammo caches in the later levels or rewarded to the player after completing side objectives.
Tactics[]
- As the most common gadget in the game, it is easy to acquire at least than one of these items in the campaign. To maximize the chances of finding L.I.F.E pickups, the player should look around the map for any secrets or other any other hidden areas
- Despite being common, the player can only hold a limited amount of these gadgets. Thus, they should be used sparingly, such as after a big fight or if the player needs to boost their health when it gets too low.
- L.I.F.E. can be very useful if the player is low on health and there aren't many health pickups lying around.
Trivia[]
- The gadget has the Serious Sam logo on it.
- In Serious Sam 4, L.I.F.E. is the most common gadget found in secrets.
- Also in Serious Sam 4, the gadget has a unique animation that involves Sam admiring the item. This is absent in Siberian Mayhem.
- It is called "SirianInjector" or "SirianInjection" in the game files. This suggests that the device was designed by the Sirians or is based on Sirian technology, though nothing has been confirmed so far.
- According to NETRICSA, L.I.F.E. contains built-in tweezers.[1]
