General Ktapodius the Strangler is a character mentioned in both Serious Sam 4 and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem.
Biography[]
Very little is known about General Ktapodius, as he never makes a physical appearance and is only mentioned in passing. What is known is that Ktapodius was a respected and high-ranking figure in the Cult of the Eightfold Manifestation, active as a general of Mental's Horde during the Mental War.
Appearances[]
Serious Sam 4[]
Leading the charge of the Octanian Army in the Tunguska Offensive, Ktapodius inspired both fear in his enemies and respect in his subordinates, making him a high-priority target for the Earth Defense Force. As Bill Corwin reports in, Ktapodius' reign of terror was put to an abrupt end by the legendary Russian sniper One-Eyed Olga, dealing a severe blow to morale among Octanian troops and disrupting their chain of command. Unfortunately, this also painted a target on her back and she was announced dead shortly afterwards.[1]
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem[]
Having no interest in becoming the victim of Octanian retaliation, Olga was forced to fake her death and go into hiding in Southern Siberia.[2] Meanwhile, a report from undercover EDF agents states that Octanian command struggled with cleaning up the panic spread by Ktapodius' assassination. Octinius the Swindler was appointed as his replacement, but a combination of his terrible reputation among troops and additional sabotage by the EDF caused desertion rates to spike.[3]
Mental was utterly furious at this development and his high command began looking into a replacement for their "cheap and obedient" ground troops, leading to the creation of the Cloned Soldiers.[3]
