The Killer Plant is a static enemy that appears in Serious Sam 2.

Overview

The Killer Plant is a cactus wearing sunglasses and a shoe, and is armed with a rocket launcher.

Appearances

The Killer Plant only appears in Be Quick or Be Dead. In the level, there are several cacti that are found in the areas, some of them being small or large. When a large one is destroyed, a Killer Plant will spawn in its place.

Behavior and skills

The Killer Plant's only attack is to fire a rocket at the player.

Tactics

• The Killer Plant's rockets can be avoided by sidestepping.
• The Double Shotgun and XM214-A Minigun are effective against the Killer Plant. One double shotgun blast at medium-close range can instantly kill the plant, while the minigun can kill it within a few seconds.
• When paired with other enemies, the Killer Plant is a medium-priority threat. It can be easily killed while the player attacks other enemies, but its rockets can deal a high amount of damage if the player is not paying attention to it.

Trivia

• The Killer Plant is similar to the secret plants in Serious Sam: The Second Encounter that suddenly appear to attack the player when the secret is triggered.
