Jurassic Reckoning is the seventh level of Serious Sam: Double D, and the eigth level of Serious Sam: Double D: XXL.
Plot[]
After destroying the first crystal beacon, Sam is teleported to Nova Scotia in Canada during the Jurassic period. Mental's forces are in this time period as well, showing that his scheme wasn't stopped by destroying the crystal beacon in Egypt. Sam continues through this prehistoric area and fights some of Mental's forces along the way.
Secrets[]
- From your starting position, head left until you find a "Xona's Future Office" sign.
- From the first secret, walk a bit close to the wall on the left. If you use the jump pad below you, you’ll see a wooden log sticking out of the wall with a 0-4377 Flamethrower on it. Shoot a grenade below you to be catapulted over to the log and grab the flamethrower. In XXL, the flamethrower can be reached by standing on the rock (not the fallen log next to it) and bouncing on the jump pad. After jumping, get out a Type II Machine Pistol with the Air Buffer upgrade (which allows you to glide in the air) and keep firing it until you reach the secret.
- When you see the third Therizinosaurus, make sure it won’t go angry. Walk up on the Therizinosaurus's back to reach the half-transparent ledges above it. Jump on them to find a Gunstack Connector.
- After fighting more Beheaded Kamikazes, keep going until you come across some fallen trees piled on top of each other. On top of the pile is a health pill floating in the air. Touch it to trigger a secret 'blood bath' which spawns two Minor Bio-mechanoids.
- Once you're out of the log area, before leaving up on a hill, drop down instead. You will see an opening which leads to a small tunnel. Go through it to find a secret Extra Large Health.
