"Jiayuguan Fortress" is the twenty-first level of Serious Sam: Next Encounter.

Plot

Sam has arrived at the Jiayu Pass. He must now proceed to the Fortress of Jiayuguan to continue with his mission.

• Desert Fortress

Before you lies the desert and the fortress of Jiayuguan. Jiayuguan is our gateway to the Ancient Chinese Empire and was a key part in the defense of the western extremity of the Great Wall. It seems to have failed, however, to withstand the alien forces who currently reside within. Cross the desert road and enter the fortress.

You are now in the Fortress of Jiayuguan, currently sullied by all manner of mutated alien monsters. You'll remember, Sam, that the Chinese invented gunpowder. Fitting then that your retribution on their behalf will involve a demonstration of the modern evolution of such weapons.

Secrets

1. Behind the first house there is some Extra Small Armor. Jump over them into the portal. There will be a 6 Treasure Chests (500 points each) on the roof.

Treasure

1. A treasure chest containing 2500 points is located in a left corner on the walls of the fort.

• The player can drive a Serious Jeep through the gates and use it in the fortress.
