The Hoverboard is a cutscene-only vehicle seen in Serious Sam: Xbox.
Overview[]
The hoverboard is a blue levitating board resembling a surfboard that is used for flying around. It appears to have some kind of engine, but it is only heard and not seen. Some particles can be seen below the board that enables it to hover.

The hoverboard is shown sneaking up behind Sam making monster noises after he picks up the Shrine of Amon-Ra, which startles him. After realizing its just his hoverboard, he rides it out of the temple and to the city of Thebes. As he approaches the Alley of the Sphinxes, he notices a sign that forbids the use of hoverboards, forcing him to get off and continue on foot.
Later on, Sam arrives at a courtyard and encounters several Gnaars. Sam summons his hoverboard again and flies around while trying to avoid the gunfire as the Gnaar attempt to shoot him down, they succeed in destroying his hoverboard, but he makes it and continues with his journey.
Trivia[]
- The board appears to be alive and makes barking sounds like a dog. This is likely for comedic effect.
