- ―Hieroglyphic text depicting the Horus generator[src]
The Horus Generator, designated Excavation site Horus-31, and translated from ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs as the "Eye of Sun", is one of two plasma generators located in Egypt that is needed to power up the Time-Lock. Its sister generator, Anubis, is located in Luxor.
Overview[]
Named after the ancient Egyptian deity of the sky, the Horus Generator is a massive, blue pyramid-shaped structure located inside a large underground construction of Sirian origin underneath the temple of Horus.
History[]
The Horus Generator was constructed several thousand years ago by the Sirians soon after they visited Earth. The exact date of its construction is unknown, although it was likely to have taken place sometime between 1378 or 3000 BC.[1][2]
By the middle of the 21st century, strange constructions of Sirian origin were discovered underneath the shrine of Horus.[3] In the excavation site was an alien door made from a strange metallic material. This door was impenetrable to any known technology, and only four seals from the House of Life were able to open it.[3][4]

Serious Sam 3: BFE[]

Sam activates Horus.
Hellfire takes Sam to Karnak to activate the first generator, having revealed their locations in a secret chamber inside the Great Pyramid. Meanwhile, NETRICSA uploads some new information about the excavation site. Sam finds out that there the door underneath the shrine of Horus requires four seals which need to placed on the door to gain access.[4]
After finding a keycard, Sam acquires all four Sirian artifacts and uses them to open the door. He takes an elevator-type platform down to an enormous area. At the bottom of the elevator, Sam comes across a hallway that takes him to another door. Sam enters the next room, which contains a massive pyramid-shaped object, which presumably powers the generator.[4] Sam waves his hand over the console, powering up the generator. After turning it on, Quinn calls Sam and is amazed that that the first generator for the Time-Lock is back online, as humans have never been able to activate Sirian technology before. She tells him that the second plasma generator is over in Luxor. Sam then proceeds to Luxor to activate it.[4]
Trivia[]
- The statues and interior of the generator have a blue-colored theme, while the Anubis Generator is colored orange.
