Homing Bullets are a special type of ammunition that appear in Serious Sam: Next Encounter.
Overview[]
Homing bullets appear as an orange box filled with rifle cartridges. They have the same effect as self-guided missiles, but, despite the fact that they have the same specifications, they are used by completely different weapons.
Homing bullets are a very useful type of ammunition: they combine an endless stream of bullets that strike the enemy and feature a powerful guidance system that directs each bullet into the enemy, so even if the bullet is released from the Uzi, for example, perpendicular to the sky, it will turn from its original trajectory and head for the enemy. Thus, it is possible to use up a lot of ammunition, and the bullets will still hit the target. Homing bullets are visually similar to bullets, though there are a couple of differences; such as the light brown coloration and sharing a similar model to that of ricochet bullets.
Tactics[]
- Homing bullets are extremely useful and should be used as soon as they are obtained. They will home onto a target no matter where they are in relation to the player. A swarm of homing bullets can destroy a horde of enemies with ease, no matter how strong the enemies are.
- Homing bullets can undoubtedly become a full-fledged and even more profitable alternative to conventional bullets, as the players does not have to worry about wasting ammo if they are not aiming at the enemy.
- However, despite the minimal waste of cartridges, homing bullets should be spent wisely, because such ammunition is rare, and it is not always possible to use them in the most favorable way.
- Self-guided bullets are very useful for taking down small to medium-sized groups of Beheaded Kamikazes, as it only takes one bullet to kill a Kamikaze, while its explosion will cause a chain reaction of explosions that can damage or kill the other Kamikazes outright.
