The Harvester Drone is a flying robot deployed by Octanian Harvester Leviathans to capture humans and take them back to the Mothership so they can be converted into Processed Anthropolyps. They are scripted enemies featured in Serious Sam 4 and cannot be destroyed or interacted with by the player.
Overview[]
The harvester drone appears as a jellyfish-like robot with a near-spherical body and two mechanical purple eyes. Perhaps the most noticeable feature of the harvester drone are its long tentacles. At the end of these tentacles are claws which the drone uses to grab and ensnare their victims. It is not known how they float, as they do not fly like Combat Drones, but appear to "swim" through the air in a similar manner to a fish
Application[]
Harvester drones, like combat drones, are usually deployed in large numbers, though they are not as numerous as combat drones. They are generally used only in urban locations, such as towns or cities, to convert as many humans as possible to be processed. Once the target has been captured by a drone, they are helpless.[1]
Appearances[]
Harvester drones are not very common throughout the game, and only appear a few at a time. In the level Death from Above, two harvester drones burst out of some buildings and escape as Kenny and Sam approach. Several more of them can be seen taking more hapless humans into the Harvester Leviathan flying over Rome.
Behavior and skills[]
The harvester is only scripted to appear at certain points within the first level of the game, and does not interact with the player, nor does it have any attacks. It cannot be harmed by any of the player's weapons.
Trivia[]
- The harvester drone resembles the sentinels from The Matrix franchise.
- Like the Propaganda Drone, the harvester drone has no NETRICSA description.
