The Grappling hook is a device that appears in Serious Sam 4. It is a crucial tool that is needed during the fight against the final boss.
Overview[]
The grappling hook is a small device that is worn on the wrist. The device contains a hook and metallic cable that is used for holding and latching onto objects from afar.[1] The hook has a long range and can travel some distance.
The grappling hook is deployed by pressing and holding the primary fire key. NETRICSA will mark suitable locations on Ugh-Zan's body that can be latched onto with the grappling hook. Once the player has highlighted a suitable grappling position, they will be dragged towards the desired location.[1]

The grappling hook is obtained from a supply crate that is dropped by Hellfire from her helicopter for Sam to use for attaching himself to the metal rods on Ugh-Zan VI's body. Utilizing the grappling hook along with the parachute, he is able to plant C-4 explosives on the metal rods and destroy all nine of them.

- Despite not being a weapon, it is treated as such in-game. Its model can also be found in the "Weapons" folder in Serious Sam 4's game files.
