Trivia[]

  • George B. Gnaar is named after George Broussard, one of the creators of the Duke Nukem franchise, who negatively criticized Serious Sam: The First Encounter. According to an interview with Roman Ribarić on the Old Man Murray website[1], George said he would stop criticizing about the game and that he would take on the nickname "Gnaar" if the engine could render a dark sewer system. This is also how the Sewer level came to be.
  • He is similar to Bill Corwin, a radio broadcaster who is heard in Serious Sam 4. Like George, Bill reports on the various events that take place throughout the game.
