The Floater is a mechanical enemy that appears in Serious Sam 2.
Overview[]
The Floater is a small floating robot with a large green "eye" in the center of their head, two arms and twin engines.
Appearances[]
Floaters are quite rare enemies, appearing mostly on the Sirius levels.
Behavior and skills[]
The Floater has two attacks: fire a laser at the target, or attack the player with one its arms if the player gets close to it.
Tactics[]
- Floaters can be dangerous if the player encounters a large group of them, as they will constantly fire lasers at the player. Otherwise, Floaters are a little threat.
- Floaters frequently collide with the map geometry, which makes them unable to attack and stay in place for a few seconds. This is a perfect opportunity to kill one.
- Groups of Floaters can be dealt with by using the Auto Shotgun or the Uzi. The auto shotgun works well for eliminating a Floater in one hit, while the uzi works if the player needs to quickly hit multiple Floaters.
Behind the scenes[]
- There once existed a "walker" variant of the Floater that used a completely different model, resembling a robot with tracks.
