Extra Small Armor is an item that appears throughout the Serious Sam series.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Extra small armor is the weakest armor pickup in the series. The amount of armor points it gives depends on the game. In most games, it will give the player one armor point. In Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam: Next Encounter, it gives the player 5 armor points.

The Serious Sam 1, Serious Sam: Xbox, Serious Sam HD, Serious Sam VR, Serious Sam 3: BFE, Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE, Serious Sam Classics: Revolution and Serious Sam 4 versions of this item let the player exceed the normal 100 armor point cap and go up to 200 armor points.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

The looks of extra small armor vary throughout the games:

  • In most of its appearances, extra small armor is a yellow shield with a diagonal red stripe across it.
  • In Serious Sam 2, it is a large blue and yellow helmet with designs on it.
  • In Serious Sam: Double D and Serious Sam: Double D: XXL, it is a yellow shield with a diagonal orange stripe that has a thumbs up symbol on it.
  • In Serious Sam 3: BFE, Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE and Serious Sam 4, it is a plate of armor in a sack.

Occurrence[edit | edit source]

In most games, a single armor shard is often used as a booby trap to spawn in more enemies. Groups of extra small armor can be safe depending on the context. If one appears after you pick up another one, it's usually leading to a trap where an enemy spawns at the end of the armor chain. If they're just sitting around, they usually aren't a trap. In Serious Sam 2, Serious Sam 3 and Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE, extra small armor is never booby-trapped.
