"Egyptian Assault" is the first level of Serious Sam: Double D and Serious Sam: Double D: XXL.

Plot

Sam is teleported back in time to ancient Egypt to investigate a strange beacon that has been discovered. However, Sam soon stumbles upon Mental's forces, which makes NETRICSA a bit suspicious, as she believes that Sam has already defeated Mental. It turns out later that it was actually a farce; Sam took a vacation and shut down NETRICSA, then reactivated her when he was done, saying he had already killed Mental. Sam eliminates the enemies that are in his way, and enters a pyramid to investigate.

Secrets

1. As soon as you start the level, go left and you will find a Super Armor.
2. Still in the secret location, you can see some semi-invisible walls. Jump on all of them to find an Extra Large Health.
3. In the same area, continue moving forward and you will be in an empty room. This will register a 'Shai-Hulud' secret.
4. Before you will exit the secret area, you will see more semi-invisible walls above you. Jump on them until you will be in a room that contains a few Small Health and a Gunstack Connector. Note that in XXL, picking up the gunstack connector will cause two Kleer Skeletons to spawn.
5. When you enter the area where you need to stand on a switch in order to open a door, you will see a platform that you can jump on. Go forwards until you will be in a small area that contains an extra large health. Pick up the health to spawn a Kleer Skeleton, then jump on its head in order to find a Boston cream doughnut. You can also get this secret by using the Jump Pad if you have it.
6. After you kill the first 2 Chimputees that appear in the level, go back to the area where a Beetle appears. Another group of Chimputees will appear. Jump on each Chimputee until you will be in a secret area that contains another gunstack connector.
7. When you reach the area that needs another switch to open a door, go forwards and you will find a secret 'useless machine'.
8. You will need the jump pad in order to get this secret. After you obtain 2 gunstack connectors and kill all the enemies in the room, wall jump and you will register a secret 'rooftop rumble'. It is possible to get this secret by jumping on a Bio-mechanoid's head, through it can also be registered by using the jump pad.
9. Before you end the level, you will see a wall above you. Reach onto it and jump onto another wall to register a secret 'monkey dash'.

Trivia

• In Serious Sam: Double D: XXL, there are two crates that appear in the level. Shooting them will open the crate which will reward you with a few Cerebral Controllers. The first one is at the very top platform not far from where you get the Thompson submachine gun. The second one is on a semi-invisible platform. To get to it requires jumping to the left of the first crate until you come across the crate floating in mid-air.
  • From the platform where the second crate is, it is possible to get to secret #6 without having to jump onto the Chimputees, but this requires good timing with a long jump.
