The Children of Amon-Ra were an organization of religious extremists founded in Egypt around 1378 BC, who remained active well into the 21st century.

They serve as the main antagonistic faction in Legend of the Beast DLC.

Overview

Very little information is known about this group, though they are mentioned in both the Legend of the Beast DLC and Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, being indirectly responsible for the events of the former.

Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter

Sam arrives in the Temple of Ptah in Memphis, only to discover that the Sign of Amon-Ra was no longer where it was supposed to be. Fresh inscriptions on the altar revealed that the artifact was taken by the Children of Amon-Ra, a group of priests living near the Great Obelisk. A ram-headed creature terrorized the city at night and they believed it to be their vengeful god "Khnum". They constructed an ankh-shaped sacrificial pit as a shrine inside the Great Obelisk, regularly throwing animal and human sacrifices into the pit to appease it.

Unfortunately for Sam, among their latest sacrifices was the Sign of Amon-Ra, forcing him to venture into the Obelisk and fight the beast for it, who decided to wear it as a necklace.

Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem

The Children of Amon-Ra are mentioned in a newspaper clipping found at the Ustinov train station in the level Crime And Punishment. On March 21, 2063 the newspaper "Morning News" reported that a bomb exploded at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, claiming the lives of 12 people with 24 more injured. The Children of Amon-Ra claimed responsibility for the attack, demanding that the goverment stop their "desecration of shrines", likely referring to the excavation of Sirian technology on the grounds that it would enrage their gods. The Egyptian government responded by tightening security in public areas and archeological sites.
