"Cave of the Wickermen" is the twenty-fifth level of Serious Sam: Next Encounter. This is the only level that the Wicker Man appears in.
Plot[]
Sam has ended up in some dark caves, which have inspired stories and legends about a sorcerer who had retreated upon these caves after being persecuted by the Emperor. Legends speak of supernatural creatures made of wicker that are animated by magical means, which are said to inhabit these caves. Sam must now find a way out of these caves and continue with his main objective.

Spooky, Sam. My records show there is a story linked to these caves. Many years ago, when the infamous sorcerer Lo Pan was persecuted by the then Emperor, he retreated here, taking his treasures and his underlings with him. The pursuing soldiers sealed the caves and trapped Pan inside hoping that it would become his grave. Many rumors have spread since then, stories passed on by the would-be treasure hunters and foolhardy children who have ventured inside. They speak of haunted caves, mysterious cries and of unnatural creatures drawn up from the ground and made of wicker, animated by dark sorcery. Whether there is any truth to the stories or not, this place is a magnet for darkness and will suit our adversaries well. Let's see if we can get out of here as soon as possible.
Secrets[]
- Destroy the honeycomb on the right and you will see a spider mines and a treasure artifact containing 5000 points.
- There will be a wall above you in the underwater tunnel, destroy it and enter the secret room with rare ammunition and Treasure Chest containing 2000 points.
Treasure[]
- Before diving into the water, there is a Treasure Chest containing 5000 points on the right behind the walls.
- As soon as you get out of the water, the first cave area has a 3 Treasure Chests (2000 points each) and 1 treasure artifact containing 2000 points.
- The second cave area has a 2 Treasure Chests (5000 points each) and 1 treasure artifact containing 5000 points.
