"Ascending the Throne" is the fortieth level of Serious Sam: Next Encounter.

Plot

Finally in the Atlantean throne room, Sam needs to find the answers he has been looking regarding the disturbances in spacetime and the strange goings on in Atlantis itself. NETRICSA warns Sam of heavy enemy activity, so he must now ready himself.

We're here. The Atlantean throne room, the innermost chamber of this ancient civilization. There is nowhere else to go. The answers we seek must lie within.

Readings of the area show that there are large formations of troops massing here, so ready your gun. Blast them away and maybe we can put a stop to this mess once and for all.

Save some lead though; we've come a long way and someone or something has a lot to answer for. Time they got their just desserts.
