The Anubis Generator, designated Excavation site Anubis-12, and translated from ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs as the "Eye of Moon", is the second plasma generator located in Egypt, within the Luxor temple complex. Like the first generator, Horus, located in Karnak, it is needed for powering up the Time-Lock.[1]
Overview[]
Named after the ancient Egyptian god of the afterlife, this massive, orange pyramid-shaped structure is located inside a large underground construction of Sirian origin. Said complex is buried underneath the Shrine of Anubis and entry to the chamber is barred by a Sirian door.[2] The door is unable to opened by conventional means; the only way to access the underground chamber is to the find the four seals from the House of Death and insert them into their respective slots into the door.[2][1]
History[]
Like other devices of Sirian origin, the Anubis Generator was made by the Sirians during their time in Egypt as part of their expedition on Earth.[3] The exact date of the device's construction is unknown, though like the Horus Generator, it was believed to have been built sometime between 1378 or 3000 BC.[4][5]
Several millenia later, in the year 2063, strange constructions of Sirian origin were discovered underneath the Shrine of Anubis.[2]

Serious Sam 3: BFE[]
Sam powers up the generator.
With the first generator, 'Horus' online, Sam heads over to Luxor and obtains the keycard he needs to get into the temples. Using the Sirian Mutilator bracelet, he opens up the mechanisms hiding the Sirian keys and places them within the door underneath the Temple of Anubis. He takes an elevator down to the complex where the generator lies, and he turns in on. Sam reports the news to HQ that the Time-Lock is now online, and Quinn and the scientists there are are very pleased to hear the annoucement. Quinn informs Sam that with his mission complete, Charlie Team are ready for insertion.[1]
Trivia[]
- In the Serious Sam Fusion version of Serious Sam 3, the Anubis Generator, the statues, doors and walls have an orange thme, while in the Horus Generator, they are corresponded blue.
