The Annihilodon is the fourth boss of Serious Sam: Tormental. It serves as the boss of "Mount Fury", the fourth level in the game. It also serves as a minor antagonist.

Overview

The Annihilodon is a massive green creature with a mixture of both avian and pterodactyl traits. It possesses a pair wings and has two stubby feet. It has a single large eye and an angry expression on its face.

Appearances

The Annihilodon is fought in the final chamber in "Mount Fury".

Behavior and skills

The Annihilodon has a variety of attacks that it may use against the player. During the fight, it will quickly hop towards the player and attack by touching them, which deals a high amount of damage. Its second attack is flying around in the air and dropping eggs while attempting to land on the player. If the player stands still for a moment, the Annihilodon will drop down on the player, producing a small shockwave. The Annihilodon's final attack consists of it spinning around and breathing out fire. The player will be set alight and take a lot of damage if are they caught on fire from it or the lava in the arena.

When the Annihilodon has less than 10% of its health remaining, a yellow outline will flash on its body and the player will be able to perform a brutal kill on it.

Tactics

• The Annihilodon is a very difficult boss, both for new and experienced players. Careful tactics and strong weapons are required to defeat it.
• Serious weapons work better against this boss unless the player has acquired useful mods for the Gun, such as the burst fire, fire bullets, minigun or shotgun upgrades.
• Strong weapons to use on the Annihilodon are the Freezegun, Grenade Launcher, Harpoongun, Multi-crossbow, Rocket and the Shotgun (especially the L2 and L3 variants). These weapons can deal a lot of damage to the Annihilodon if the player concentrates their fire on it and quickly deplete its health.
• The Annihilodon's fire breath attack is very dangerous and should be avoided by jumping or staying out its range.
• The eggs the Annihilodon drops can be used to the player's advantage and allow the player to whack them back at the Annihilodon with the Sledgehammer and then detonate them.
• The bullets fired from the doom eggs should be dodged by jumping over them.
