The Angrylosaurus is an enemy that appears in Serious Sam: Tormental.

Overview

The Angrylosaurus is a dinosaur-like creature with a long tail that has an angry expression on its face.

During his long war with the Eillians, Mental became increasingly more enraged about the state of the war. He wasn't used to genocide turning annoying, it was meant to be good fun for everyone involved. One day in his endless fury, he was scouring neighboring worlds to get the upper hand he needed.

On a mostly unknown blue planet, he found a race of reptilian-like beasts, all born to kill or survive, which fascinated Mental, causing him to come up with a few of his most nefarious ideas (and one including putting a T-rex head on a Bio-mechanoid, which didn't work out well). The Angrylosaurus was one of such ideas, based on a beast with a dangerously hard tail.

Appearances

Angrylosaurus appear in Mount Fury, where they can be seen with groups of Fuminlosaurus, a younger, weaker variant of this enemy.

Behavior and skills

When the Angrylosaurus notices the player, it will start spinning up and quickly propel itself towards them at high speeds. This attack can deal a lot of damage to the player, especially after the player has completed a loop. An Angrylosaurus can also bounce off of walls while using their attack.

Tactics

• Angrylosaurus can be very dangerous enemies if they are not quickly killed. Their high speed, health and the lava environment can easily leave the player overwhelmed.
• Their attacks can be dodged by sidestepping, jumping or dashing sideways right before they approach.
• The Bomber, Freezegun, Mini Cannon, Rocket and Shotgun are recommended weapons against Angrylosaurus, since these weapons can deal a lot of damage to them.
• Angrylosaurus have a tendency to end up in the lava after spinning, which sets them on fire and depletes their health. The player can take advantage of this and lure them into the lava and then finish them off before they propel themselves back at the player.
• If the player has good upgrades for the Gun, such as the burst-fire, minigun or shotgun upgrades, they should use them against these enemies as much as they can.
