The Albino Cyclops is an enemy introduced in Serious Sam 2.

Overview

The Albino Cyclops was originally a species of giant worm native to the planet Magnor. However, soon after Mental came by and discovered Magnor, he added arms and legs to them, but their body retracted soon after the body parts were added, making them look very large. Albinos come in three sizes, normal, large, and giant.

Appearances

The first Albino Cyclops appears in M'keke Village as a miniboss. Albinos then appear in the later levels, sometimes accompanying HellChicks.

Behavior and skills

The Albino Cyclops will fire a homing orb-shaped projectile at the target when it spots them. These projectiles can either be avoided or will burn out after travelling a certain distance. If the target gets too close to the Albino, it will whack them with its arms.

Tactics

• The best tactics against Albinos is to stay far away from them. Their projectiles cannot reach far, which makes them harmless at long range. However, Albinos will try to get closer to the player, so the player should try to take out an Albino and keep a good distance from it by running away.
• The Albino's large size makes it easy to hit with the XPML30 Rocket Launcher or MK IV Grenade Launcher. A quick volley of either rockets or grenades can quickly mow down the Albino, allowing the player to focus on other enemies.
• A Clawdovic can kill an Albino outright and so will prove useful against groups, especially if the player has softened them up beforehand with weapons like the Double Shotgun, Uzi, or XM214-A Minigun.
• The XL-808 Plasma Rifle and Beam Gun are also useful weapons against Albinos.
• The SBC Cannon is also useful against the Albino. A charged-up cannonball can eliminate an Albino in one hit, which can be useful if the player needs to eliminate multiple Albinos or quickly take out an Albino.

Trivia

• The Albino Cyclops bears a great resemblance to the Shambler from the Quake franchise. Both are large white bipedal aliens capable of firing deadly electrical charges at their targets and have similar bodies.
